Parent/FAN Code of Conduct

I will let the players play.  I will Cheer them on when they do well, encourage them when they don’t.  I will not coach or instruct from the stands, and I will not interfere with the game.  I won’t expect more than they can deliver, and most importantly, I will be a fan of everyone on the team, not just my child.

I will not criticize the players, coaches or fans of either team in front of my child.

I will communicate responsibly.  If a problem needs to be discussed, I will wait 24 hours to request a meeting with the coaches to calmly discuss the issues.  Any safety or health related items should be identified immediately.  If a meeting can’t be arranged in a timely manner, contact Marc Blackim at 316-648-4882.

I will let the coach’s coach.  My child’s coach deserves my cooperation and respect even if I disagree with how the team is managed.  If I don’t agree with the way the coach manages any aspect of a game or practice, I will discuss it personally with the coach after the practice or game in a calm manner.

I will let the umpire’s umpire.  I will accept the calls made by the umpire and understand that the Monarchs coaches and manager is the sole individual responsible for reviewing plays and rules with the umpire.  I will not make any negative comments to the umpire or about the calls.

I understand and agree that playing time will not be equal.  Some players may have more playing time than other players.  That is the nature of the game and the discretion of the coaches.

I will encourage my child to take ownership and be responsible for his baseball experience.

I will encourage my child to follow the Player Code of Conduct.

I will display good sportsmanship and I understand I am a role model to my child and other team members.

I will respect the facilities we play in and I will assist in keeping them clean and safe.  I will pick up after myself and my team.

I will positively encourage the players on and off the field.

I will not use foul language at any time while representing the Monarchs organization.
